1/5 in my experience. Iâm glad to have found somewhere to live, especially with Utahâs crazy raising real estate prices. But this is a BAD place to live.
Thereâs trash littered everywhere. Old food, old papers, even old diapers have ended up literally on my doorstep.
The staff is horribly unprofessional and rude. They leave for âlunchâ hours at a time. Iâve counted them being gone for over 3 hours. They leave early, and rarely answer any calls, emails, or voicemails.
Maintenance is never addressed in a timely manner. Lightbulbs outside will be burnt out for months. The heater has been broken a number of times in the winter and taken weeks for them to come out. Same case with the AC in the summer.
The amenities are constantly closed for one reason or another, often for something that could be easily solved. Itâs very frustrating to not have use of my mail room, laundry room, gym, and pool at times theyâre normally open. And when i ask staff about when they will be open again, Iâm usually met with some defensiveness and even hostility at times. Specifically Alehi, she has been extremely unprofessional and rude several times.
The pests are out of control. Cockroaches and bedbugs in the apartments, (luckily Iâve only found dead roaches so far.) However many of my Neighbors have had them.
This particular part of town is a bad location. Gang activity, homeless going through your trash and patio.
There was a shooting in my building when I first moved in. Theres been several here before me.
In summary, I would absolutely not choose to live at Mountain shadows again. When my lease is up, I will be very excited to move out and find somewhere else to live. I would recommend no one to this place. I have lived all around Salt Lake County and Utah County, and these are the worst apartments Iâve ever lived in.
