Lived in these apartments for a little less than 2 weeks now and I already dreadfully hate it. Moving in me and my roommate have seen DOZENS of cockroaches , and we have nothing but our mattresses and a table in here!!! We have called the office for pest control and they’ve failed to show up the date they said they would, then we called in because our sink and our dishwasher both have a HUGE leak preventing us from washing dishes, potentially attracting MORE of these infested cockroaches , and guess what? NEVER SHOWED UP. the way people live in these apartments is living in a HEALTH VIOLATION. Why has nothing been done about this? Now looking back at the reviews this has been an ongoing problem since at least 2015 from when I quit looking at the reviews because I’m just disgusted. This is mine and my roommates first apartment and of course we are impressionable young women and this place presents itself as livable but this is not a healthy enviroment for ANYONE to live !!! I have spoken to lawyers and this is the complexes responsibility because we sure as hell did not bring them here. Legal action can be taken if this issue does not get resolved, if you’re looking for a good apartment, look somewhere else this place is NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME, OR RISK FOR YOUR HEALTH. If only I could upload the pictures of the many cockroaches I’ve seen in various places of this apartment I most surely would. And hire more maintenance if you’re so backed up you can’t even stick to your word of stating you’ll take care of an issue cause by YOU, at a certain time. And the leasing lady I’ve spoken to was JAZMIN SANCHEZ and I’ve had nothing but curveball responses. So look elsewhere if you’re looking at Mountain Shadow

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This place is infested with roaches. Currently, September 2018, every two weeks i have to pack up my entire kitchen and bathrooms, so pest control can bait or spray. You can get a $50 fine if this is not done. There are other buildings that also have a bed bug infestation. Have they been Aware of this? Since the lease has a clause they are not responsible for this, it is your fault, take it how you will. I have lived many places, and multiple states. In my opinion they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. My rent is paid on time, and I have never gotten a fine. But they sure try to find ways. I would not recommend this nasty complex to anyone. But don't worry, when you come they will tell you your place isn't ready and show you a model apartment, that is nothing like what you will move into. They will just say disgruntled tenants, and reviews and not true. That's what i got when i moved in and they looked me in the eye and lied when asked about roaches. If you choose to live here, you were warned.

Sadly this place was very horrible, they told my brother that we had to pay a pet fee, (very reasonable) but then gave us extra fees, at the time i was only freshly 18 so i didn't understand, but we ended up pay like close to 2000 in deposits and fees, then when we got there the carpets were not new like they said we didn't have a bug problem but we had issues with fees and when asked for a repair it was non-existent, when we finally left that place, our damages were minor but our deposit should of paid for all of it, but when we pointed that out to them they said we had no deposit. and now my credit is screwed and their scum Lawyer has put 18,000 dollars six times on my credit it should only be once. don't rent unless you like to be screwed over multiple times. Nice people, Nice place. not really

Lived there a year and it was a nightmare. The day I signed the lease "Audra" the lady who showed me the apartment commented that it wasn't moving. I asked why she said she didn't know. I asked if someone died in there, if it was infested with mice or roaches and she said no. It turns out it was the latter. And come to find out from my neighbors they have known about it because its been a constant issue. The roaches are everywhere but didn't show their heads until after I signed the lease. I sent multiple requests through for treatment and it never happened until about a month before I left. If you have issues don't expect them taken care of unless they are legally bound to, like your heater not working in the winter. There is trash everywhere and it smells like sewage. As the comlpex filled up it did with drug dealers and losers, Their was a gang related murder in the complex, another body found in the canal up the road. If you have a choice go somewhere else. These people don't care about the tenants so long as they get their money. They are the definition of slum lord. They are over priced for what you get. Some people may choose a place like that for obvious reasons. If you want a quiet, clean, reliable, honest and safe place to live, look elsewhere.

The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because Audra is amazing. We had a 2 bedroom here. The cockroaches are insane. For some unexplained reason they stopped spraying the apartment 4 months in. So the remaining 8 months the roaches were out of control. Thousands. No matter how much we cleaned. No matter the hundreds of dollars we spent on sprays/traps/baits etc. We have a one year old so certain products werent an option. We arent "allowed" to bomb it ourselves. Thousands of dollars of food that was thrown out due to roaches contaminating it. Due to our tight finances we moved into a 3 bedroom at the same complex when our lease was up. The previous tenants trashed it. Before moving in to it we looked through the windows and from what we could see from outside was incredible amounts of damage and filth. Three months before we moved we were told we would get one apartment. A week before the move were told the leasing agent Jasmine made a clerical error causing us to move to a different apartment. They replaced the carpet. That was it. Everything else was left in its original trashed condition. Light fixtures with no screws attaching them to the wall. One randomly fell off in the middle of the hallway on our first day. Shattering on the carpet. Almost all the baseboards are missing. The stove didnt work upon moving in. The dishwasher still doesnt work. Our toilet in the main bathroom has been clogged since we moved in. We called three days in a row and no one came. But we watched the maintenance guys race each other on the golf carts after saying someone would come fix it. Went into the office to demand a solution. I get a call later on saying someone would come out Monday. It overflowed again. Had to call the emergency line that night. It took hours for someone to come. He tried to snake it but he said we need a new toilet. Here it is Tuesday and no one has been back. Our stove didnt work at first. They came to fix it. Now one of four burners work but only on high. And it electrocutes us everytime we use it. The office is aware. Maintenance is aware. No one gives a damn. All the closet doors are barely attatched to the tracks. Weve had to remove some of them to prevent them falling on our children. The roach problem is out of control here. We got a notice to remove everything from our cabniets and drawers in the kitchen so the pest control guy can treat the apartment. It says if we dont its a $50 fine. Well we did and No one even showed up to spray our apartment. No one should live here. Were paying 1300 a month for a trashed and broken 3 bedroom. They refuse to fix anything. Dont live here.
