We all want a pleasant living situation but the Mountain Shadows management team will not even attempt to meet you halfway. The bare minimum of an apartment upon move in should be tidy and presentable however Mountain Shadows expects grime, stains, leaking toilets and blame to be the minimum. Casey, the property manager immediately is responsible for the state of the apartments, everything reflects upon his leadership and direction which is awful. Apparently he takes their third party cleaning/maintainance word that they fulfilled their job without inspecting a new apartment himself. If the cleaning/maintainance team doesn't think a quality job is in order than it shows what poor judgement the managers have. I could go on, but please (if the finances are feasible) seek other complexes with better units and management that actually cares about your living experience.

The management has been great to work with. My needs were met in a timely manner and they were friendly and understanding. I think some of the ratings on here are from people who have unreasonable expectations.

My friend just moved in probably a month ago now and I'm there all the time and its completely disgusting. Roaches everywhere. At first it was just baby ones and now its huge ones. So many other bugs too. Weird smell not sure what its coming from yet. There is trash everywhere outside. People yelling and screaming at 1am- 4 am. The carpet has stains everywhere and is pulling up some places. The kitchen floor is pulling up super bad too and when you look under it there's so much dirt and old food. The tub leaks and is super orange from the bathroom above it. And like two weeks ago in the same building a girl got her apartment broken into and raped. Ghettoooooooo. Place needs to be shut down or brought to someone's attention that can shut it down.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I have lived here a year and am so happy to be leaving!! It has been a nightmare trying to just move out! First of all, yes, there are cockroaches and bed bugs. Second of all, the appliances are old and don't work well. In the winter, my furnace never worked. Rent is way too high for these apartments and they will charge you a ton in fees that they don't tell you about when you sign the lease. They also combine the gas bills (which they are not supposed to do) so you end up paying a large gas bill even if you don't use any. They also increased my rent without even telling me! I have always been good about paying rent, so I was very upset when I got a notice on my door saying I owed more rent! And they charged me $150 late fee for not paying what I didn't know I was supposed to pay! I wish the management was better at communicating with the tenants. It's ridiculous. Literally across the street are nicer, cheaper apartments!
